A few years ago, when Katie was pregnant with Jack, I did some maternity photos for her and her husband, John, in this same gorgeous setting. It was summer then and Jack just turned 5 this past October – time flies! Since then this adorable family welcomed a second – Blake, who has quite the personality of her own already. 

It was an overcast Saturday, late in October, with rain threatening most of the morning, but we decided to go ahead with the shoot, knowing we’d only have limited patience with the little ones anyway. I’m loving the color scheme Katie picked out for the outfits and how well they go with the backdrop at John’s parents’ house, which was filled with trees still boasting brilliant fall colors. Also, how cute are these kiddos?!   They did so well in front of the camera and it only took a couple small bribes! 😂 #smartiesforsmiles 

We had lots of fun with the leaves before heading inside for a few photos in front of the fireplace and one last shot outside the door of their own newly remodeled home, which is stunning! So glad we were able to fit this shoot in and that the weather cooperated with us – honored to be the one to capture these moments for the beautiful Wegerski family!
