Katie and I have worked together for close to two years now; she is an event planning genius, btw! We met before she was going to get married and I remember how extremely excited she was for her upcoming wedding day. I was honored when she had asked if I would design their wedding invitations, which was a lot of fun. Now these two are expecting their first child and I couldn’t have been more thrilled when Katie asked if I would take their maternity pictures! They chose to do them at John’s parents’ house, which is a gorgeous spot on the water. We planned to do it later in the day, but to avoid a possible storm, we decided earlier was better and it worked out perfectly!

Aren’t these little booties the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen? I asked if they had any little shoes yet, and they just so happened to have these, that just so happened to match their outfits perfectly – love when that happens!

Diesel, their adorable chocolate lab, wanted to be involved in every shot; we tried throwing sticks to get her to move and quickly snap a couple shots, eventually we just gave in and let her be the star of the show 🙂

I am so excited for these two, I know they are going to make the best parents! Can’t wait to find out what the little guy’s name will be and to eventually meet the new addition!
